Saving the Ta-Ta’s…One cupcake at a time
Owners Sue Woodhouse and Jen Neiman are proud to announce that as a result of selling close to 1,500 “Pink Ribbon” cupcakes during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, they will be donating $1,240.00 to the Susan G. Komen foundation. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to this cause and for the ongoing support!
Eat Cupcakes and Read
On November 10th at 11:30 a.m. Cupcakes Actually will launch their first in a series of “Eat Cupcakes & Read” events. The kick-off event features author Ann B. Ross of the beloved ‘Miss Julia’ book series. Jen and Sue will host ‘Eat Cupcakes and Read” at the critically acclaimed culinary hotspot Trummer’s On Main – 7134 Main Street, Clifton, VA. Cupcakes Actually invites ‘Miss Julia’ fans to meet Ann Ross on her only stop in the Northern Virginia area for an exclusive reading, and book signing. Cupcakes Actually is very busy this month! With the changing of seasons brings new fall flavors, designs, and specials.
On Tuesday October 5th at 4:30 Co-Owner and head baker Susan will read to a group of children at Tyler House. Tyler House is a low income housing residential unit which offers afterschool activities for children as well as career development programs for adults. Susan will be reading the popular child favorite “Give a Cat a Cupcake,” while the children enjoy one of her delightful Halloween themed cupcakes topped with black cats.
Pink Ribbon Cupcake for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Cupcakes Actually is joining in the fight against breast cancer for the month of October by offering a specialty “Pink Ribbon Cupcake,” a strawberry flavored cupcake iced with a luscious strawberry butter cream and topped with a chocolate pink ribbon. Thirty percent of the proceeds from the sale of this cupcake will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Cupcakes Actually’s Sue Woodhouse and Jen Neiman are both proud and pleased to contribute to a cause that hits close to home to many; we hope that you will join them in helping find a cure for this ongoing battle.
